Things I have learned so far
YearningNow that I am almost settled in at my new sales assistant job, these are some of the things that I have learned so far:
- My personal "theme song" at any given point is The World Has Turned And Left Me Here by Weezer OR Cobrastyle by Teddybears
- The Spanish term for "Colon" ( as in THIS punctuation mark : ) is "dos puntos", which is both easier AND more fun to say!
- I'm good with people. Growing up I was always the kid who only spoke when spoken to, around strangers. Then one day I decided to talk to anyone and everyone. Some people would say I have not stopped talking since
- You know that horrible feeling you used to get every Sunday night, knowing that Monday was tomorrow and you have school for another week? It never goes away. Instead, "School" is replaced by "Work" or "Job"
- "Absense Makes The Heart Grow Fonder" and "Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind" are two sides of the same coin. And its really hard when you're not on the side that you wish you were on
- Waking up BEFORE your alarm is set to go off is both cruel and unusual punishment. It just should not happen. Unless there was, like a fire or something...
- The person/people in charge of picking songs on the TV show "House" are THE BEST at what they do. Case in point: Seven Day Mile by The Frames
- Christmas time in every retail shop is spoken amongst employees as if it should really be called "Voldemort". The stories I have heard thus far worry me very much so
